Mission

THE MAYAN CONNECTION -
LOS CIMIENTOS ALLIANCE MISSION IS:

• A international cooperative partnership between caring and concerned persons worldwide and the Maya K'iche people of Los Cimientos working together at their request to protect, preserve and enrich their lives, land and culture.
  
  
• Supporting Los Cimientos community in their efforts to survive and adapt to their relocation to land far from their homeland and introduce resources that will allow them to become an independent and economically viable community.
  
  
• Accompanying the community as they rebuild their community leadership structure and develop the skills necessary to assume active leadership roles, especially to encourage expansion of the leadership role of Los Cimientos women in the recreation of their community.
